The economy kit does not include differential overhaul kit, bearings/seals, rotors, axle housing gussets, or steering stabilizer.   Finally, a new 1986-95 Toyota IFS suspension system designed with no strings attached, no down side. Downey thinks this new system makes all others on the market look silly, but you can decide that for yourself - - - read on:  
 
1. There are no application limitations on 1986-95 Pickups & 4 Runners.
2. Does not lower front axle housing or control arm pivot points. Downey’s is a maximum ground clearance system.
3. This is an extremely simple kit that provides 13” of tire travel utilizing 2” longer chromoly tubular control arms with fully lubricated Mega Travel Ball Joints.
4. Downey retains all original equipment steering components without resorting to the use of highly perishable heim joint steering.
5. Control arms are not so excessively long that they over-leverage torsion bars and torsion bar mounting components. Not so excessively long that front tires have a hideously wider stance than rear tires.
6. Downey provides longer 4340 axle shafts.
7. Downeys Porsche 930 inner CV joints not only withstand a zillion horse power, they also easily reach a 29 degree angle.
 
  Complete kit includes Control Arms, Mega Travel ball joints, bump stop gussets, chromoly axles with Porsche CV’s, weld-on upper shock mounts, Bilstein shocks, H.D torsion bars, rear springs and rear shocks.

  Downey’s new genuine NHK 4 Leaf Tacoma rear springs were designed with a little bonus feature that lets us offer four different lift values in two different spring packages. This is accomplished through the use of OR removal of the 4th bottom leaf. You simply transfer your thick original equipment bottom load carrying leaf to Downeys 3 or 4 leaf package, install provided stainless steel brake hose, install longer shocks, and you’re good to go!

  The new FJ Cruiser is built on darn near a 4 Runner chassis, consequently we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel, lucky us! The 03-06 4 Runner front struts with Tundra coils are a perfect fit. They lift 13/4” before cranking in lift, and can be adjusted up to a comfortable 31/2” of lift. The 03-06 4 Runner 11/2” lift rear coils lift the FJ Cruiser 13/4”. Addition of Downeys polyurethane upper spring seats yield a total 31/4” rear lift. Downeys FJ runs 34” tires that never rub in worst case situations. And don’t forget to ask us about our Army Tank lower skid plates.

Here’s the newest addition to Downeys complete line of Toyota truck and SUV air cleaners. This beauty fits the 03-06 4 Runner and 05-06 Tacoma, and 2007 FJ Cruiser. It is not, and apparently never will be street legal on the 4.0 engines because they all come with a secondary filter element that you are not allowed to abort, and that we cannot factor into our filter design. Like all Downey air cleaners, we still refuse to supply heat shields or enclosures (cold air devices) that trap and hold water at the air cleaner. (Note- not offered for FJ Cruiser - gives check engine light)

Not back by popular demand, but back because we’ll sell more of these particular Headers to Columbia & Venezuela per month than we’ll sell in the USA per year. These are a rebirth of our original 93-97 IFZFE engine Header, now offered as Headers only, no down pipes to catalytic converter. These Headers are constructed with 1 5/8” OD by 14 gauge tubing, 3/8” thick laser cut flanges, EGR retrofitted (with block-off plates), Downey 30% thicker flange gaskets, and a very serious layer of nickel and chrome plating.

We’re finally bringing back the 86-95 4WD Pickup & 4 Runner grille guard. The new grille guard design features upper mounts that attach to top of front bumper. The guard then terminates at its rigid mounting location on the upper crossmember (at bottom of radiator). The guard can be used stand-alone without Downey’s lower skid plate, or blends perfectly into Downey’s stand-alone “Army Tank” lower skid plate # 52286 (not included). The guard is constructed with 1 1/2” OD x .120 wall tubing, gloss black powder painted, includes polyurethane end caps, and an aluminum upper skid plate.

  Downey has manufactured the bump-loop style rear bumper for a zillion years. Everyone loves the light weight styling, sturdy, angular design, and maximum ground clearance mounting. This unique bumper features sturdy 11/2” tubing that is formed into two full width bumper tubes, plus a trick racing style rear bump loop. The bumper includes a new license plate mounting bracket and lamp, four polyurethane end caps, and solid 3/8” thick steel mounting brackets.
