No matter what your application – highway or off road – the Auburn Gear limited-slip differential is engineered to provide smooth torque-sensing operation. This superior performance is achieved through an innovative cone clutch design which transfers more power to the high-traction wheel for quick acceleration and tight cornering. Auburn Gear’s high bias Pro Series limited slip differentials deliver more traction and faster engagement for controlled power transfer and lightning-fast reaction to changing conditions.

69-90 Landcruiser Limited Slip Differential
$568.00
There are a number of positive-traction and limited slip differentials on the market that can help deliver traction on loose surfaces…but very few offer the features, durability, performance and automatic operation of Detroit Truetrac.
FEATURES:
Improved design performs like standard (open) differential in normal driving…until you need it.
Limits wheel spin on wet, muddy and icy terrain for maximum traction.
Improves handling and increases tread life by allowing differences in wheel speed when turning or operating on uneven surfaces.
Dependable, rugged, automatic system.
Smooth operation, even in front drive steering axles.
No special lubricants required.
Proven in thousands of installations.
Easy to install, no special tools or case modifications.

Powertrax Lock-Right Lockers are brute force devices for rugged truck applications. They provide the best value for greatly increasing the traction of 2WD or 4WD trucks. Lock-Rights operate identically to a Detroit Locker. They apply 100% torque to both rear drive wheels constantly, unlike Limited Slips that apply a percentage of efficiency. Lock-Rights are the least expensive positive traction device because they do not include a new inner case; they simply transfer into your stock differential case. There is some racheting noise and wheel hop on the highway.

The No-Slip system installs in the existing differential case with no special tools or setup required. The No-Slip Traction System is much stronger than the Lock-Right. Analysis shows that even the smallest model can transfer over 5,000 ft. lb. of torque without failure. What really sets the No-Slip apart from all other locking differentials is its smooth and virtually silent operation. Most drivers are unaware of their No-Slip until they need the extreme traction it provides.

This new cable conversion was designed especially for the Toyota 4WD Pickups, 4 Runner or Landcruiser equipped with a genuine Toyota Electric Locker.
Why? . . . for two reasons:
For those who have buried their electric motor into 3 feet of mud, snow, river beds, or sand dunes once too often. A cable conversion replaces your faulty or troublesome electric motor with a less vulnerable, rigidly mounted, and fully sealed shifting chamber.
You’ve got a new or used Toyota Electric Locker, but don’t have the extra $500 for the Toyota differential computer and electronics needed to operate it ---- why bother?
Originally we provided 140” and 160” long cables for dashboard mounting on short or long wheel base vehicles. There were some complaints of no suitable location on the dash for cable mounting. We decided to make the cable controlled by a floor shift lever. You will now receive a 74” cable (SWB) or 93” cable (LWB or Tacoma), a trick little floor shift kit, a sealed shifting chamber, a freeze plug for original motor hole, and all necessary mounting hardware.

When using an Electric Locker in 1979-85 leaf spring mounted front axle housing:
An electric controller has been, and always will be a poo-poo choice.
A cable controller would route below spring, require adjustability, and would require enough cable dangling out in the wheel well to allow full suspension travel---another poo-poo choice.
Downey now offers a Manual Locker, it routes immediately below spring perch, above bottom of axle housing. It does not require adjustability, must trim spring perch though. It is a simple push-pull lever with no cable or shifter mechanism required
